Pixie Fairy Free Crochet Pattern!


 Hello! This is my little pixie fairy and I'm giving it to ya'll as a free pattern! I hope ya'll love it! Scroll down for the free pattern.

Pixie Fairy

Materials


-Crochet hook: H hook (5.0 mm)
-Knook: 5.00mm for the Pixie hat (you can use regular knitting needles too)
-Yarn: Peaches n Creme and Sugar and Cream Yarns for the head, body and wings. Boutique Sashay by Red Heart for the dress. Caron Simply Soft Party Yarn for the hat.
-Safety eyes: 6mm
-Scissors
-Darning needle
-Stitch marker
-Polyester stuffing
Size


With the recommended hook size, the fairy will be approximately 3.5 inches tall.


Abbreviations


SC: single crochet

SC2tog: single crochet decrease
HDC: half double crochet
DC: double crochet

The Pattern


Worked in a continuous spiral using stitch markers.
Head:


R1: Make a slip knot and chain 1. Put 6 SC into the slip knot. =6
R2: 2SC into each stitch around. =12
R3: 2SC into the first stitch, SC into the next stitch. Repeat around. =18
R4-R6: SC in each stitch around. =18
*This is a good place to weave in the tail, flip right-side out, and start stuffing.
R7: 2SCtog, SC in the next stitch. Repeat around. =12
R8: 2SCtog. Repeat around. =6


I add the safety eyes between rounds 5 and 6 with 4 stitches in between.


Cut the yarn and weave in the tail. Finish stuffing, add a face and add hair.

Body:


R1: Make a slip knot and chain 1. Put 6 SC into the slip knot. =6
R2: 2SC into each stitch around. =12
R3: 2SC into the first stitch, SC into the next stitch. Repeat around. =18
R4: 2SC into the first stitch, SC into the next 2 stitches. Repeat around. =24
R5-R8: SC into each stitch around. =24
*This is a good place to weave the tail in, flip right-side out, and start stuffing.
R9: 2SCtog, SC into the next 2 stitches. Repeat around. =18
R10: SC into each stitch around. =18
R11: 2SCtog, SC into the next stitch. Repeat around. =12
R12-R13: SC into each stitch around. =12
R14: 2SCtog. Repeat around. =6
Cut the yarn leaving a long tail to sew the head to the body.Finish stuffing and sew the head to the body.
Dress:

I used the same technique except for counting 10x I only counted 5x, and slip stitched to the body of the fairy. I made 1 row around, 2 rows down from the top of the body.

Wings:


Top half: (make 2)
R1: Make a slip knot and chain 8.
R2: SC in the next 2 stitches starting with the stitch right next to the hook. HDC into the next 3 stitches. DC into the next 2 stitches. DC 5x into the slip knot. Pull the slip knot to close the hole.

R3: Starting on the other side of the chain, using just the top loop: DC into the next 2 stitches. HDC into the next 3 stitches. SC into the next stitch. Slip stitch into the next 2 stitches.

Cut the yarn leaving a long tail on one of the halves. Weave in the ends of the tails on the other halves.


Bottom half: (make 2)
R1: Make a slip knot and chain 4.
R2: SC into the next 2 stitches. HDC into the next stitch. DC 5x into the slip knot. Pull the slipknot to close the hole.
R3: Starting on the other side of the chain, using just the top loop: HDC into the next stitch. SC into the next stitch. Slip stitch in the next 2 stitches.
Cut the yarn and weave the tails in.
Take the long tail and sew the 4 halves together and then do not cut the yarn. Use the tail to sew to the body of the fairy.

Pixie Hat:


R1: chain 14
R2-R3: knit 1, purl 1 across
R4: knit across
R5: purl across
Repeat R4 and R5 until it is 2 inches.
Bind off, cut the yarn, and weave in the ends. Fold into a square with the right-side in and sew up the back seam to make the pixie hat. Add ties.
